Kids will be Kids

The other day Noah and Ethan were riding with me in a moving truck (moving my mom's stuff) and I was eavesdropping in their conversation. This is what I overheard: Ethan, "Noah, who gave me my hands?" Noah, "They are a gift from God." Ethan, "How do you take them off?" Noah, "You can't because blood would squirt all over the place and it would hurt really bad!"

I am constantly taken back on how truly awesome it is being a parent. Just the other day I dropped my kids off at my mom's house and had a sinking feeling for leaving them. Why? They were in safe hands with my mom, but I truly hate leaving them during the day! I am truly heads over heals in love with my boys and I love being their dad. Noah in fact said to me the other day, "Dad, thanks for being my daddy!" Wow. Kid just got some bonus points for that one.

Up next? My beautiful baby daughter due on May 15th. I have a feeling that this softy chump might go to an all new level of protective/caring dad. Can't wait!

I love this story! I told Blake and we had a good laugh.

Also, we changed the URL to our blog so it's actually:

Just thought I'd let you know since I saw the old link is on yours.
